SBS Confirms New Fantasy Romance Starring Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon.

SBS has officially announced its upcoming fantasy romance drama “No Tail To Tell,” raising anticipation with a confirmed premiere timeline and the release of first-look images from the script reading. The series promises a fresh, chaotic twist on the familiar gumiho tale—this time with a boldly Gen Z flavor.

Blending fantasy and romance, No Tail To Tell follows the tangled fate of two unlikely souls: Eun Ho, a nine-tailed fox who stubbornly refuses to become human, and Kang Si Yeol, a self-absorbed human whose life revolves around fame and success. As they repeatedly try—and fail—to save each other, their whirlwind connection sparks humor, conflict, and unexpected emotion.

The project is led by director Kim Jung Kwon, with the script penned by Park Chan Young and Jo Ah Young. The official script reading gathered a strong ensemble cast, including Kim Hye Yoon, Lomon, Lee Si Woo, Jang Dong Joo, Choi Seung Yoon, In Gyo Jin, Lee Seung Joon, and Hong Soo Hyun, signaling a lively on-screen dynamic.

At the center is Kim Hye Yoon as Eun Ho, a chic yet lovable Gen Z gumiho who defies tradition by rejecting humanity altogether. Opposite her, Lomon plays Kang Si Yeol, a world-class soccer star blessed with talent and confidence—but also a hefty dose of narcissism.

Supporting roles add depth and contrast to the story. Lee Si Woo appears as Geum Ho, a figure mysteriously tied to Eun Ho’s past, while Jang Dong Joo portrays Hyun Woo Seok, a fellow soccer player living a life far removed from Si Yeol’s spotlight. Choi Seung Yoon takes on the role of Lee Yoon, a confident villain and fourth-generation heir of Geumsoo Group who also happens to be Eun Ho’s VIP client.

Veteran actors further enrich the drama’s world. In Gyo Jin plays Park Yong Gil, a former national youth team coach turned manager of a fourth-division citizen soccer team. Lee Seung Joon stars as Hyun San Cheol, Hyun Woo Seok’s supportive father, while Hong Soo Hyun makes a special appearance as Hong Yeon Soo, Kang Si Yeol’s long-time partner and agent.

The production team shared that although gumiho stories are nothing new, No Tail To Tell offers a distinctive setting and tone designed to deliver “a completely new kind of fun.” They also highlighted the chemistry between Kim Hye Yoon’s unconventional gumiho and Lomon’s star athlete, teasing that their pairing will be more than “worthwhile” to watch.

With its mix of fantasy, romance, and sports drama, No Tail To Tell is shaping up to be one of SBS’s most intriguing releases—one that reimagines old myths through a modern, Gen Z lens.
